Is your cell phone locked to Sprint, NEXTEL, Cingular or T-mobile carrier network? Cell phone companies when you buy a phone from your provider will "lock" your phone, so it can only be used on their wireless network. Not very good when you want to switch providers, but maintain the same phone.
You'll need a special code that will remove T-Mobile restrictions when entered into the phone. There are services online that sell codes for almost any Telit cell phone model.
A lot of Telit models can be unlocked with free software unlock code calculator and all you deed to do is to get your free unlock code and enter it into your cellphone.
Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see a message that says "SIM is not restricted" or "Restriction off" message depending on your model. If not, try entering another code.
